Whitevalley Community Resource Centre is in the process of updating our database of the skills and resources available in Lumby and its surronding districts. The Community Skill and Talent Bank lists the many varied resources available right here at home. Cross-indexed by skills, the names of people who have the skills or talents that you need, will be readily available.

Do you have a skill you would like to offer the community? Perhaps you speak another language, or are known for building wonderful birdhouses. Maybe your skill is making gingerbread houses or perhaps your expertise is project planning or task implementation.

Put those skills to work. Want to make a few dollars doing what you already love to do and what you do best? Add your name, your contact information and your skills or talents to the database, for quick, easy access by prospective clients.

Perhaps you would like to volunteer your time to hose who would like to learn your special skill. Apply your information added to the database in order to put your skills and talents to work where they are most needed.

The Community Skill and Talent Bank offers area residents "one-stop shopping" in gathering contact information to locate just the right person to suit your event, project or other needs. At the same time, it offers those with skills and talents to offer the community a place to make their abilities known to those who may need them most. It's a win-win situation.
