Various events including wellness sessions, card games, reminiscing group, field trips, Internet, music, intergenerational programs, crafts, foot care and exercises are available.
Located at Senior Drop-in, 175 Glencaird Street Lumby B.C., held on Mon., Wed., Fri., 9:00-1:30 p.m. Lunch is available at noon $5.00 per person..
This program offers respite for caregivers of seniors.

  Tuesdays Together Program

Join other women who are over 55 and are wanting to meet new friends, visit, talk, and support each other by sharing similar experiences and interests. Luncheons out on the third Tuesday of each month. Carpool from Saddle Mountain Lounge at 1751 Glencaird St. at 11:30 a.m. Social/Meeting from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month at Saddle Mountain Lounge.

  Seniors Wellness Program

Provides health information specific to seniors' interests and needs. Blood pressure and weigh-ins with consultation.
Held the fourth Wednesday of every month, 9:30-11:00am at the Seniors Drop-In, 1751 Glencaird Street.

Exercise is essential for ongoing flexibility and strength.

Arts and crafts with a group provides fun and
a chance to share ideas with others. Be creative and
express yourself! Working with arts and crafts is therapeutic for
the Soul.

  Community Volunteer Program with Seniors (2009/10)

Volunteer coordinators were trained to assist with recruiting, training and supporting the volunteers in the community allowing us to continue to offer programs such as the Senior Women's Support Group, Crafts, Senior Fitness, Senior walking group, Good Morning Program, Intergenerational Program, and also allow us to expand to include areas of interest such as an art group, a Bridge or Chess group, etc.

"How to coordinator training manuals" were created and can be viewed (and used) here. These manuals include information that can easily be adapted to other projects as well as "project specific" information
