Family Support Program

Provide direct family support, individual and family counseling, parenting and life skills education, and referrals.
No fee is charged and the service is confidential.

Adult Counseling

Free, short term counseling available for a variety of issues including communication skills, anger management, marital, grief and stress.

"Parenting Wisely"

An interactive, computer-based program, designed for parents to improve parenting knowledge and skills, and strengthen the relationship between children and parents, help reduce child behavior problems, from homework and chores to delinquency and substance abuse among teens. Available for parents with young children (3-9) and parents with teens (10-18). Call 250-547-8866 for more information or to register.

Home and School Support Program

A counseling and support program for students where home or community is impacting their ability to manage at school. Referrals through school based team.

Community Living Support Program

A community service for adults affected by
serious and persistent mental illness that provides
individual support to enhance day-to-day living and sustain
quality of life. Please contact Charlie or Robin at 547-8866.

Addictions Counselling, Information and prevention

The purpose of this program is to provide individual and group counseling services to youth and adults in the community of Lumby and surrounding area who are experiencing issues related to substance misuse.

Kids Space

A fun, safe and positive place for your child after school.

Energetic staff planning exciting afternoons for children to relax, and socialize and grow!

Located at JW Ingles School, Monday-Friday, 2:30-5:30 pm, $8.00 per day for one child, (discounts available if more than one child from the same family attending). Program expansion has allowed for a primary/intermediate split! Pre-registration is required (forms and parent information sheets available here). Register by calling 547-8866.

After School Mondays and Thursdays. Children ages 5-12. Starting November 15 until the end of March, the after school program will have lots to do: music, gym, arts & crafts, drama, games and friends.

We made it to the last week of Summer Day Camp. It is sad to be ending a great summer but the staff is already looking forward to another summer of fun!

Summer Day Camp would like to thank everyone involved with the 2011 summer! Good Times Together

White Valley Community Hall for playtime, guest speakers, crafts and so much more. Children socialize, as do the parents.

Cherryville Parents and Tots


For those with children newborn to 6.
Invites parents and caregivers with young children to meet other parents and children and have a coffee, chat, do crafts and have guest speakers.
Every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Cherryville Community Hall.

Parenting Isn't Easy Program (P.I.E.)

Each week a different topic is introduced, with discussion being lead by the facilitator. At the end of each session parents take home a bag of activities, toys and story books to support the topic being discussed. Enjoy time with other parents as we discuss the struggles and successes of parenting children 0-6 years of age. This program is offered free of charge to all participants and we register 10 parents for each group. Child care is also provided for infants and preschoolers at no cost and coffee and a snack are served at every session! .
